AMERICAN BROADCASTS
SKILL IN ENTERTAINMENT HIGH TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY NEW YORK, Juno 15. (Received June 10, at'B p.m.) Air Bearup, a member of the Australian Broadcasting Commission, following a study of American conditions, informed the Australian Associated Press that he found three aspects of broadcasting in the United States particularly impressive. They were the unremitting effort to make educational programmes ami even charitable appeals entertainment first; the care and expense lavished on acoustical facilities at studios; and, finally, the high technical proficiency of broadcasting transmission.
Following a fortnight’s stay In New York, Mr Bearup will proceed to Europe to continue his inquiries.
