The Editor's mail every day includes business letters ivhieh should have been addressed to the Manager. Letters for which insertion is desired and letters affecting the news department should be addressed to the Editor. Delay in dealing with them may be caused by these letters being addressed to the individual, to whom only personal letters should be directed. ADVERTISING Is accepted as a necessary part of modern business promotion. It has won a place for itself in virtually every Industry. Kightly directed and prepared, advertising has proved that It can return a profit to the advertiser. But advertising should always be considered as a business enterprise, and not at a magic formula for unearned succes*.
