CONFERENCE IN LONDON r DEBATE ON CENSORSHIP LONDON, June 9. The Empire Press Conference devoted the afternoon to a" censorship debate, following an admirable address by Mr Kenneth Anderson, the Associated Newspapers’ legal expert, outlining a 13ill designed to place libel on the same basis as slander, limiting the scope of the “ gold digger.” The conference passed a resolution urging Great Britain and the dominions to legislate on the matter as nearly identically as possible.
