COMMUNITY SINGING
The weekly community sing will bo hold in the Strand Theatre (hy courtesy of Fuller-Ilayward), and another good session it* promised. The special item to-morrow will he the vocal duet by Mr J. Pringle and Mr 11. M'Dougnl, and this item is sure to be very much appreciated. Mr 11. P. Desmoulins, the leader, has arranged a very good programme of new songs, and old favourites, and with Mr Alt' Petlitt at the piano a good hour seems assured.
Tiie secretary lias received a Dumber of letters from listeners-in, some from the North Island, saying that the reception i.s splendid. If the efforts of the committee arc appreciated by listeners-in they mav show their appreciation by sending in their donations to Begg’s or the Strand Theatre. Mrs M'lntyre, who is in charge of the stall, will bo pleased to receive articles or flowers. The proceeds are for the Mayor's Relief Fund. Mr Victor C. Peters, conductor of the Christchurch Harmonic Society Choir, has contented to assist.
