BOOKINGS FOR CORONATION LONG WAITING LISTS SYDNEY, June 9. Practically all accommodation on liners leaving Sydney in February and March next year has already been booked by people intending to visit England for the coronation, and there arc long waiting lists of persons wanting to book. Booking agents estimate that between 8000 and 10,000 people will sail from Australia exprcsr.ly to be in London for the coronation. Many will travel through America in order to cross the Atlantic in the Queen Mary, and the voyage from New Zealand to Loudon through the Panama canal has also attracted many Australians. HONOUR FOR CATHOLIC PRIEST DARWIN, June 9. Monsignor F. X. Gysell has been presented with the Order of the British Empire for his splendid work among the aborigines at Bathurst Island, Northern Territory, where he has been in charge of the Catholic mission since its estab lishment 25 years ago. The High Court having dismissed the appeal of Edward Cornelius, aged 29, a motor mechanic, against his conviction for the murder of the Rev, Harold Cecil at Fitzroy Vicarage, the Executive Council, within a few hours, decided that Cornelius should be hanged on June 22. This will he the second execution in Victoria in three weeks.
