GOLF IN ENGLAND
THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP THIRTY OVERSEAS ENTRANTS LONDON, June 8. (Received June 0, at 5.5 p.m.) The entry for the Open Golf Championship numbers 28(5, compared with the record of 312 in 1934. After two qualifying rounds the 100 lowest scorers and all tieinjz for hundredth place will enter the Championship, beginning at the Royal Southport links at Hoy lake on June 24, over four medal rounds. Perrier is drawn with J. A. Kinnell, from Kenya, and the title-holder, Alf Perry, with W. Nolan, of Portmarnock. The American entries include Gene Sarazen, Joe Ezar and Tommy Armour. Altogether there are only 30 overseas entrants, including Locke.
