BOXING
OSBORNE v. FILIPINO CHAMPION HONOLULU. May 23. (Received May 24, at 6.30 p.m.) Osborne lost a close decision in an eight rounds' bout with B. Deguznian, the Philippines champion, last night. Many thought that the bout should have been a draw. Osborne was slow in getting started but he finished strongly. Osborne centred his attack on the Filipino's body, raising a mass of welts on both his sides. Deguzmau landed blows frc-cly to Osborne's face, but the Australian left the ring unmarked. This was Osborne's first fight here.
