SUPPLIES OF OIL
AUSTRALIAN SHALE FIELD PRODUCTION ENCOURAGED SYDNEY, May 23. Applications are being invited by the Commonwealth Government from persons and companies desirous of undertaking the production and marketing of petrol and oil from shale on the Newnes Capertee shale oil field. The right is reserved by the Commonwealth completely to control the enterprise in times of national emergency, subject to compensation on just terms.
