THE WEATHER
Yesterday was dull and cold, with an overcast sky. The barometer was high at 30.20 during the morning, but showed a tendency to fall later. The temperature was cold and there was a fresh south-westerly breeze. I!EPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, March 16. Light rain was experienced early this morning, but afterwards the weather was line but cloudy at intervals. The wind was moderate from the south-fiouih-cast. The barometer was steady at 30.10 inches after mid-day. WELLINGTON, March 16. The weather was cloudy in the early part of the morning but was line and sunny most of the day, with a light southerly breeze prevailing. The maximum temperature was 58deg. CHRISTCHURCH, March 16. The weather to-day was sunny and pleasant, with a maximum temperature of 59.1 deg. A very light west-south-west wind in the morning was followed by a strong south-south-west wind in the afternoon. The barometer is now steady at 30.15 in.
