COLLIE DOG TRIALS
WAKATIPU CLUB’S MEETING The tenth annual trials of the Wakatipu Collie Dog Club were held on a part of Ayrburn property, Speargrass Flat, on Thursday and Friday last. On Thursday a rather disturbing wind affected the work of the owners, but on the whole good results were achieved, in the heading events. Most of the competitors failed to complete the course in the Huntaway, largely owing to difficult sheep. The entries, mostly local, were satisfactory. The prize money was well distributed. Mr D. Murdoch, of Brighton, was the adjudicator. The president (Mr D. Jardine) and an energetic committee, with Mr T. D. Scott as secretary, carried the trial through to a successful conclusion.
