UNEMPLOYED WORKERS’ MOVEMENT The executive of the Dunedin Central branch of the National Unemployed Workers’ Movement held its meeting over the week-end. Cr M. Silverstoue occupied the chair. It was agreed to appoint a deputation at the general meeting to wait on the executive of the General Labourers’ Union regarding clearance cards for members. The organising report stated that the Bathgate Park and Caversham jobs had been visited, and Bethune’s Gully job would be visited this week regarding the complaint sent in about a shelter shed.
