TRACK RECORD ESTABLISHED. (Pick United Press Associationi CHItrSTCHURCH. March 8. A series of three match races of three laps, clutch start, for the two Australians, Wilkinson and Mitchell, was the chief attraction at the broadsiding meeting last night. Both men established a new track record. Results:— Australian Match Race.—First heat: Wilkinson 1. Mitchell 2. Time, lmin 3 l-ssec a record. Second heat: Mitchell 1, Wilkinson 2. Time, lmin 3 3-ssee. Third heat: Wilkinson 1 Mitchell 2. Time, lmin 3 3-ssec. N. Neill beat Roscoo (the holder) in a challenge match for the Chevrolet Gold Cup.
