AUTUMN MEETING OPENED VERSION WINS THE CUP (Per United Prkss Association) NAPIER, March 5. The Napier Park Earing Club's autumn meeting was opened to-day in fine weather, though slight showers fell in the morning and late afternoon. Good fields faced the starter, and there was fair racing. Tr.e favourites were very successful. Ihe sum of £4052 10s -was put through the totalisator, compared with £3766 the first day last vear. The field closed up in the straight, where Lavina came again, and a great finish resulted in a head win for Lavina, with a head between second and third. Hunting Cat was fourth. Time, lmin 30sec.
