BRITAIN'S FINANCES
REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE (British Official Wireless) - • RUGBY, February 25. (Received Feb. 26, at 5.5 p.m.) • The Exchequer returns up to the end of last week show that the total ordinary revenue, excluding self-balancing items, amounted to £644,665,284, compared with £620,169,263 at the corresponding date last year. Receipts from inland revenue were £326,761.000, against £316,721,000 in the same period last financial year, and Customs and excise were £274,457,00.\ against £263,519,000. The total ordinary expenditure, excluding self-balancing items, amouuted to £660,716,773. against £641,260,601 at the corresponding date last year.
