BOXING
A DIFFERENCE SETTLED SYDNEY, January 14. (Received Jan. 14, at 11 p.m.) Klaveren, the Dutch boxer, has signed an agreement with Mr Lucas, the promoter, to take part in two further contests before March 8. An order has consequently been filed for discontinuance of the writ issued on January 8. Mr Lucas said: “ I am satisfied our hitch was due to a misunderstanding. Klaveren and I are the best of friends.” It has been announced that charity will receive £6OO from the Sports Ground fight on December 26. Another contest on identical conditions has 'been authorised by the Chief Secretary (Mr F. A. Chaff ey).
