TOMAHAWK BOATING CLUB

A meeting of the committee of the Tomahawk Boating Club was held in the boatshed, the commodore (Mr C. Hewitt) presiding. It was decided to purchase two new rowing boats, these being considered a necessity owing to the fact that all models in a race were controlled from these craft. The results of the club races over the week-end, when a full-sail north-easterly breeze prevailed, were as follows: 3ft 6in one-design class: Val, C. Hewitt, (scr) 1; Imp (A. Biggs (scr), 2; Wings, A. Reeves (scr), 3. Five starters. Time, 13imin. 4ft restricted class: Vagabond,' 1 J. Thomson (Amin), 1; Rival, A. Reeves (scr), 2; Racona, A. Biggs (scr), 3.
