THE WEATHER
Fine weather, with considerable cloud in tho morning and bright sunshine in the afternoon, prevailed yesterday. A light easterly breeze was blowing, and the maximum temperature was 87 degrees. The barometer fell several points, and registered 30.23 last ingREPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, December 10. The prolonged spell of hot, summer weather continued to-day, a moderate breeze blowing from the north-east. The barometer was steady at 30,15 inches all ' WELLINGTON, December 16. Cloudy weather prevailed in the early part ofi the morning, but most of the day was fine, sunny and warm, with a light northerly wind. The maximum temperature was 71.0 degrees.
CHRISTCHURCH, December 16. The weather to-dtvy was line but cloudy, with a moderate easterly in the morning, changing to east-north-east in the afternoon. The barometer is rising slowly and now registers 30.25 inches. The maximum temperature to*day was 05.1 degrees. .
