Electric Handicap—Big Author penalised 12yds, now 12yds behind. A Good Line Descendants of Globe Derby bad a great day in Sydney on Monday of last week. At Harold Park the winner of the second race was Hot Spur, by Globe Derby. Later in the day trotter Wallawill (by Walla Walla) was successful, and in the next race Wirra Walla, also by Walla Walla, won the Flying in 2miu 12*sec, and, as usual, raced without the straps. Still another of the Globe Derby clan to win was Binnia, by Robert Derby. Both Walla Walla and Robert Derby are sons of Australia’s champion speed propeuitor. Famous Greys According to the Horseman and Fair World. Greyhound, the three-year-old,two-minute trotter, is the fastest harness horse of his colour, and there have been but five other grey trotters to secure records in the 2min ssec group, they being: Greyworthy (2min 2isec), Clara Bascom (2min 34sec). Bob Douglass (2min 4Jsec), Silver King (3) (2min 4isec) and Senator Brewer (4) (2min ssec). The honour for grey pacers is now held jointly' by Peter Paul (2min lisec) and the ironsided Earl Junior (2niin The latter in his officially recorded 129 starts wa% either first or second in 99, a truly remarkable showing. A Big Team F. J. Smith, Auckland’s most successful trotting trainer, who for the last three years has occupied J. T. Jamieson’s training establishment at Glenora Park, has removed his string of about 40 horses to his recently-acquired property nearer the. Rev de Oro— Tenot filly, and another Frank Worthy three-year-old. The recent American importation, Swordsman, by Peter Volo— Lee, is a handsome young trotter.
