Laval’s Government received a vote of confidence in the Chamber of Deputies this afternoon by 345 votes to 225. ELABORATE PRECAUTIONS PARIS, November 28. Elaborate police precautions, were taken to protect the Deputies before Parliament opened, but the streets were almost deserted. , ; The Left parties failed to agree on the attitude towards M. Laval, who was politely applauded when' he announced that he was determined not to shrink from a debate, but did not propose to consider the Fascist leagues until Do-, cember 3. , M. Blum objected to a postponement, declaring that Mi Laval had done nothing against those conspiring to destroy Republicanism. The Chamber, however, voted in favour of M. Laval’s motion to take the financial questions first.
