MISSIONARY RELEASED
PHYSICAL CONDITION GRAVE SHANGHAI, November 23. Mr Hayman '(the New Zealand missionary) has been released from captivity. The China I:.land Mission reports that Mr Hayman arrived at Yunbshnn (North-west Hunan). He is in a grave physical condition. MAKING RAPID RECOVERY PEKING, November 25. (Received Nov. 26, at 0.30 a.m.) The British Consul at Changsha (Mr Burdett) informed the Embassy that he saw Mr Hayman in hospital and found him exhausted and extremely emaciated, but suffering no injury or disease. Mr Hayman is making a rapid recovery. The Consul will continue to co-operate with the mission authorities in endeavouring to effect the release, of Mr Bosshardt.
