BOY STRUCK BY CAR DEATH FOLLOWS IN HOSPITAL. (Pee United Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 3. A boy, aged six, named Maxwell David Adam, a son of Mr and Mrs David Adam of Mount Eden, was struck by a motor car yesterday afternoon. The lad suffered severe head injuries and died in hospital at midnight. A CONSTABLE’S DEATH HEART SEIZURE WHILE CYCLING. (Per United Press Association) PALMERSTON N., November 3. A heart seizure this morning while cycling resulted in the death of Constable Hugh Blaikie, of Shannon, a married man with four children. He was 47 years of age and had been in the force for 25 years, 10 of which were spent at Shannon. He had been stationed previously at Mokau in Taranaki. He was president of the Shannon Bowling Club. CAR STRUCK BY TRAIN WOMAN ESCAPES WITH SLIGHT INJURIES. (Per United Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, November 2. Although thrown from a car and hurled heavily on the road, Mrs A. Dobbin, of Hursthousc road, escaped with minor injuries when the car she was driving was struck by the express at Inglewood yesterday. Mrs Dobbin, accompanied by her 11-year-old son, was driving an open small ear, and was almost across the line when the car was struck by the engine. It was thrown clear', Mrs Dobbin being thrown out. She had a surprising escape from serious injury, suffering only from superficial cuts on her head and a severe shaking. The boy was not injured. The ear was almost completely wrecked. OLD MAN’S FATE BODY FOUND IN WATER-HOLE. (Per United Press Association) INVERCARGILL. November 3. The body of Arthur Janies Kilcoyne. aged 72. who had been missing from the Lome Farm institution for about 10 days, was found yesterday in a waterhole on a farm near Makarcwa.
