Fine weather, with sunshine and passing cloud, was experienced on Saturday. A fresh north-east wind prevailed; and the maximum temperature was 59 degrees. After bright sunshine early yesterday morning, rain clouds appeared from the south, and showery weather was experienced during the remainder of the day. The barometer fell steadily, but later rose to 29.55 in. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, November 3. Ideal sunny weather and a light southerly wind were experienced on Saturday, but to-day a moderate freshening wind was blowing from the west. Conditions were overcast and unsettled. The barometer has been steady at 29.85 in since Friday. WELLINGTON, November 3. Saturday was mostly fair, with intermittent sunshine in the morning and almost continuous sunshine from 3 p.m. A north-westerly wind prevailed. Today was dull and' threatening, with a few light showers in the early morning, and a strong north-west wind, reaching gale force at times with a gust of 67 miles per hour. At 10.20 the maximum temperature was 58. Id eg. CHRISTCHURCH, November 3. The sky was overcast, with an easterly wind, on Saturday. The night-was dear, with fog along the northern coastal areas. On Sunday north-westerly conditions prevailed, but it was calm near the city. The sky was overcast, and a slight shower fell late in the afternoon.
