MODEL YACHTING
VAUXHALL CLUB The Vauxhall Model Yacht Club sailed a series of club races on Saturday afternoon. The course was from Hogg's waterfront across the harbour to Vauxhall. The wind, a very strong north-easter, had plenty of weight in it. Most of the models carried reduced sail. Some of them put up very fine performances, notably R. Mitchell’s Restless. The races were controlled by the club officials, Messrs J. Miller, J. Smith and W. lies. The racing resulted: — Handicap Race. Vauxhall A Class.—R. Mitchell’s Restless f2lmin) 1, G. Iles’s Siloam (scr) 2, J. Smith's Maiona (scr) 3. Vauxhall Super Class.—James Pratt’s Rainbow 1, E. Newall’s Helen 2. Rainbow is a new boat, and she was making her first appearance in the water.
