CHURCH SERVICES
The Rev. D. C. Herron will conduct both services in Knox Church. The subject for the evening will be "The Place in Christianity for the Outlaw."
At First Church to-morrow morning there will be a special service at which Archerfield School and Columba and M'Glashan Colleges will be present. The Rev. Allen Stevely's subject will be "Life's May-Day," and the solo will be "My Heart Ever Faithful" (Bach). In the evening Mr Stevely will speak on "The Hope of the World." The solo will be "All Through the Night" (Somerset), and the anthem "Saviour, Thy Children Keep " (Sullivan). Dr Gahvay will be at the organ. "The Problem of Evil" will be the subject of the Rev. C. H. Olds at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street to-mor-row evening. The choir will render the solo-anthem "Abide With Me," Mrs C. F. Roberts being the soloist. At the morning service in the United Congregational Church, the Rev, C. G. Hedley Byeroft will take as his subject " Epaphroditus." For the evening session the Rev. Albert Mead will speak on " The Need of Personal Religion." Mrs A. Matheeon will be the soloist. First Church of Christ, Scientist, will conduct services in Allbell Chambers, Stuart street. The subject of the morning and evening services will be " Everlasting Punishment." "A Broader View of Redemption" is the title of Mr W. J. Hutton's address at the Spiritualist Church to-morrow evening.
The Moray Place Congregational Church will celebrate its seventy-third anniversary to-morrow. Special services will be conducted, in the morning by the Rev. Albert Mead, after which the sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be observed, and in the evening by the Rev. C. G.Hedley Bycroft. The choir will render "Te Deum" (Jackson) and "Gloria" (Mozart). At the close of this service Mendelssohn's " Hymn of Praise " will be rendered by the choir. The Rev. T. Keith Ewen, at the Hanover Street Baptist Church, will speak in the morning on the subject of "The Final Assurance of the Faithful Witness," and the monthly communion service will follow. The subject for the evening will be )' The Highest Form of Liberty." The choir will render the anthem " 0 Gladsome Light," and there will be a solo by Mr J. Swan.
At the Theosophical Society Mr M'Ewan will give the fifth lecture on the '' Straight Theosophy " campaign. His subject will be " Can We Remember Our Past Lives? "
Sunday school anniversary services will be held at the Methodist Centra] Mission, Octagon Hall, to-morrow. The preachers will be: 11 a.m., the Rev. C. H. Olds; 2.45 p.m., the Rev. P. Cooke; and 6.30 p.m., the Rev. L. B. Neale.
