THE WEATHER
The weather yesterday was fine but overcast, with a light easterly breeze. The maximum temperature was 57 degrees. The barometer was steady all day at 29.98 in.
REPORTS FROM THE NORTH.
(Special to Daily Times i AUCKLAND, November 1. A light south-west wind and fine sunny weather was experienced to-day. The barometer rose to 29.75 in. WELLINGTON, November 1. The weather was cold, cloudy and showery to-day with a fresh southerly wind. The maximum temperature was 53.8 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, November 1. The weather to-day was rather brighter, with a strong south-west wind still blowing. Some rain fell. The maximum temperature was 52.7 degrees. The barometer is rising slowly and now registers 29.95 in.
