SYDNEY FISHING CONCERN
BRANCH IN WELLINGTON TRAWLING ON NEW ZEALAND COAST. (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 30. It is reported that the Sydney fishing concern, Cam and Sons, one of whose trawlers, the Alfie Cam, has fished spasmodically off the New Zealand coast, will shortly establish a branch in Wellington. Three of this company's trawlers are expected to operate from Wellington instead of the fish being freighted to Australia by trawler. It is understood that the fish will be packed and exported by intercolonial vessels in the same way as lish is exported by Now Zealand companies to Australia. It is likely that the Australian trawlers will operate on the west coast of both the North and South Islands. Auckland trawlers fish on the east const of the North Island from Whangarei to Gisborne. It is understood that a conference ot exporters of fish is to be called by the Government in the near future to consider ways and means of improving the methods of exporting fish.
