BRITAIN'S FINANCES

REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, October 29. (Received Oct. 30, at 5.5 p.m.) The Exchequer returns show that the total ordinary revenue, excluding self-balancing items, amounts to £336,280,467, compared with £321,804,553 at the corresponding date last year. The receipts from income tax are £62.261,000, against £00,414,000 at this time last year, while the total in land revenue is £131,221,000, again'st £126,466,000. The receipts from Customs and excise are. £175,950,000, against £169,246,000 at tbe corresponding date last year. The total ordinary expenditure, exclusive of self-balancing items, is £401,054,641, against £384,138,074 at the corresponding date in 1934.
