WELLINGTON HOSPITAL

HONORARY MEDICAL STAFF DR CORKILL’S RESIGNATION (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 20. After having been a member of the honorary staff of the Wellington Hospital for 13 years, Dr T. F. Corkill has resigned. Dr Corkill made it plain that he was acting on his own account, and stated: “It has become apparent that the majority of those directing the hospital policy are not in sympathy with the idegls of the honorary staff, and an atmosphere is being created in which there is no longer any satisfaction in the honorary service, which has hitherto given the keenest pleasure.” The chairman of the board, Mr F. Castle, confirms Dr Corkill’s resignation, but declined to comment upon it as the matter had not yet come before the board.
