HEAD-ON COLLISION

THREE PERSONS INJURED (Per United Press Association) WAIPUKURAU, October 26. As the result of a collision between two cars yesterday afternoon on the main road at Wanstead, three persons were sent to hospital—Williams (Wanstead), a dislocated hip, G. Lancaster (Porangahau), scalp wounds, and Mrs Lancaster, an injury to the leg. It was reported this morning that the injured persons are progressing favourably. The cars collided practically head on, and Miss Armour, who was travelling in one of the cars, was uninjured. A son of Mr Williams, who was in the other car, suffered slight injuries. The cars were extensively damaged.
