(Special to Daily Times) WELLINGTON, October 27. Good acceptances have been received for the second day’s racing, and an especially good contest should be seen in the Harcourt Stakes. There has been an improvement in the weather over the week-end and a strong westerly breeze lias dried up the track well. It has also been thoroughly overhauled by a gang of men and it was rolled. The going, therefore, should be fairly firm, and in tins respect form may be altered again and be tricky. The following horses may be well backed in their engagements: — Kona Hurdles.—Black Duke, Monastic and Esteem. Spring Trial Stakes.—Lowenberg, Enthens and Calshot. Tararua Hack Handicap. Grey Honour, Shu and Master Reynard. Roseneath Handicap.—Notium, Paper Slipper and Siegmund. Pearce Handicap.—Passion Fruit, Cali elite and Fersen. Harcourt Stakes. —Heritage, Kinnoull, and Spiral. Nainai Handicap.—Silver Streak, Variant and Gasman. Rnahine Handicap.—Valarth, Mount Val, and Hunting Cat.
