DEFENCE RIFLE SHOOTING

KIWI CLUB. The Kiwi Club fired the first stage of No. 1 Match on Saturday afternoon. Ex- - cept that the light rear breeze was rather ■ cool, the shooting conditions were almost ' ideal, and some good scores were registered. The match is for 10 counting shots, two optional sighters at 300 and 500 yards, three shoots to complete the series. - Riflemen Wells and Gillick each hit 48 at the 500 range, and Baker and Whitehead secured 49’s at 500 yards.
