TARANAKI ROAD RACE (Feb United Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. October 26. , The Taranaki Circular Road Race round Mount Egmont was run to-day, 62 riders from most parts of the Dominion competing. Watson led over the last half mile on the grass and heat Snowden by half, a length, a wheel separating second and third for fastest times. The record was lowered by 14min 19see, the race being over a 98-mile course. A. Ralston, of Otago, was the previous holder of the record. Forty-two riders finished the course, the road being wet most of the way. There was no wind, and the conditions otherwise were good. Mana. won the New Zealand Junior 100 Miles Championship.
