THE MEDIATION PLAN
REJECTED BY MINERS STRIKE BALLOT TO BE HELD LONDON, October 25. (Received Oct. 25, at 10 p.m.) The Miners’ Federation executive rejected the Government’s mediation plan, pointing out that it did not offer a wages increase, but, merely sought to extract from the owners a promise to do in July, 1930, what should have been done in 1931. The federation also objects to the Government refusing to accept the proposal to, submit the miners’ claim to arbitration.
The strike ballot will, therefore, pro' ceed.
