MINERS RESUME WORK
"STAY-IN" STRIKES ENDED FEDERATION RECOGNISED (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, October 22. (Received Oct, 22, at 11 p.m.) By an overwhelming majority South Wales Coalfield Conference decided that 15,000 to 20,000 striking miners should resume work on the management's undertaking to recognise only the Miners' Federation, of which 03 per cent, are members. This ends the " stay-in" strikes, which were begun as a protest against the employment of non-unionists, who formed a body under the title of Industrial Union.
