OLYMPIA MOTOR SHOW
NEW ATTENDANCE RECORDS (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, October 21. (Received Oct. 22, at 5.5 p.m.) Tlie attendances at the Motor Show at Olympia, which will continue open to the end of this week, are making new records. Dealers report most encouraging inquiries from foreign and colonial buyers, as well as an increased demand from retailers at Home. Practically every maker has adopted either preselector automatic gear boxes or the synchro-mesh principle. The new models are also designed to give greater accleration, while considerations of safety have impelled improvements in the braking systems and in the steering and increased visibility from the driving position. The equipment is once again generous, and on several moderatelypriced models this now includes the permanent built-in jacking system. Independent front wheel suspension is another feature of growing popularity.
