Kartigi, which was docked at Port Chalmers on Monday, is to sail to-day for Bluff and Greymouth. Totara is to leave Westport on Friday with coal for discharge at Bluff and Dunedin. The Royal Mail liner Monowal Is to arrive at Auckland on October 28 from Vancouver. Slid Is to sail at 11 o'clock the following night for Sydney. REMUERA AT AUCKLAND. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Remuera arrived at Auckland on Monday morning from Napier. She will complete loading and sail with passengers for London on October 26. PORT HUNTER FROM LIVERPOOL. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor ship Port Hunter, en route from Liverpool and Glasgow with passengers and cargo, has reported that she expects to arrive at Auckland this morning. WANGANELLA FROM SYDNEY. The Huddart Parker motor liner Wanganella, from Melbourne, left Sydney on Saturday for Wellington. She Is due at the northern port this morning and will leave again to-morrow for Sydney and Melbourne. TAINUI FROM LONDON. The Shaw, Savill aud Albion liner Talnul, which left Southampton on October 4, Is due at Wellington about November 11. After loading she will sail finally for Southampton and London from Auckland on December 7. NEW MOTOR SHIP GALE. The Gale, a motor coaster of about 800 tons, built for the Canterbury Steam Shipping Company, Limited, of Christchurch, was launched recently by Messrs Scott and Sons, Bowling. The Gale Is a sister ship of the Breeze, which was built by Messrs Scott for the same owners in 1933. She was due to leave Glasgow on September 25. NOLISEMENT FOR PORT CHALMERS. ' Messrs A. S. Paterson and Co. advise that the steamer Nollsement Is now en route from the Seychelles Islands to Bluff, Port Chalmers and Auckland, with a cargo of phosphate. She Is due at Bluff about November 7 and at Port Chalmers,about November 20. VESSELS FROM NEW YORK. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Federal Line steamer Northumberland Is to leave New York on November 22 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Australia. She is due here about December 20. The City of Manila will leave New York for the same ports on December 15. STEPHEN ISLAND PASSAGE. The Marine Department advises that the position of the rock in Stephen Island passage, with 18ft M.L.W.S. previously reported, is to be amended to 211 deg five .cables from western 1 Saddle rock. Its position Is Lat. 40deg. 4.lßmin. S., Long. 173 deg. 59.2 min E. (approximately). The shoal previously reported in position 40deg. 41.6 min S., longitude 173 deg. 58.3 min E. (approximately) has been examined and a least depth of flvo fathoms M.L.W.S. found in a position Olldeg. four cables from Cape Stephen. AUCKLAND SHIPPING. Shipping totalling 476 vessels of a gross register of 419,124 tons visited the port of Auckland last month. Compared with September, 1934, the returns for overseas merchant shlpptng show a decrease of one vessel and 6152 gross tons, intercolonial shipping an increase of five vessels and 10,634 gross tons, large coastal shipping a decrease of eight vessels and 7304 gross tons, and local coastal shipping an increase of 34 vessels, and 3278 gross tons. A summary of the large merchant shipping shows a decrease of four vessels and 2852 gross tons. '
