Mr C. L. Sherlock (chairman) presided over the monthly meeting of the Caversham School Committee on Monday evening. A credit balance of £l2 was received from the weekly card tournaments. Dental clinic fees collected amounted to £-'1 14s. The secretary reported that the vole by the parents on the question of prizegiving resulted in a large majority n> favour of prizes, the totals being 52S for and 90 against. The open air school mistress reported a roll total of 21, and expressed pleasure at the interest taken by parents- in the recent school medical instruction. The headmaster reported a roll number of 689, a s compared with C 57 at the end of last term, and an average attendance of 635. Miss Harris, the new infant mistress, had taken over at the beginning of the month. Accounts totalling £3l 10s were passed for payment. The winter sports report showed a successful season. Two Rugby teams, A team and Bantam B. were winners of competitions-, and Bantam A was runner-up. In basketball there were three winning teams, and the fourth was runner-up. The girls played 27 games and won 26. A trophy presented by Mr A. Wynesa for the most improved Soccer player had been awarded to Frank Leckie,
