FLOWER SHOW

GEORGE STREET SCHOOL A spring flower show and jumble sale was held in the George Street School hail on Friday. Although this was the tret time the school had held a spring show the entries in almost all classes were numerous and of excellent quality. Generous donations of cakes, sweets and produce filled the stalls which were well patronised both in the afternoon and m the evening, and therefore the show was also a financial success. In opening the show Mr R. Vercoe, chairman of tlie School Committee, explained that thq proceeds of the function were to be used as school funds. The judges were: Mr G. Reid (flowers and vegetables), Mr incroccio (meccano and aeroplane moaelsj. and Mrs Ferguson (decorated prams and trirvelps). The prize list was as follows: Decorative Section.
