MIGRATION PROBLEM
AUSTRALIA’S ATTITUDE NO PLANS FOR RESUMPTION CANBERRA, August 19. (Received August 19, at 11.30 p.m.) It was stated on behalf of the Government to-day that the Commonwealth has no plans for an early resumption of migration owing to the high number of unemployed in Australia. It was also pointed out that the Prime Minister’s references on the subject had been exaggerated in London.
