COMMUNITY SINGING

To-morrow at 12.15 p.m. the weekly sing will be held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Messrs Fuller-Hayward). This week a Rood programme has been arranged by the leader (Mr H. P. Desmoulins), who will introduce some new, popular numbers. An invitation has been issued to Messrs J. Hore and F. Vorrath, the Otago members of the All Blacks, so tliat a send-off can be given to them. Miss Tui Salt will be the singer, and she will present by request " Silver Hair and Heart of Gold." Mr Alf Pettitt will be at the piano. Mrs M'lntyre, who is in charge of the stall, will be pleased to receive goods. Listeners-in have been verv generous in sending in donations, for'which the committee are very thankful. Donations, no matter how small, mav be sent to Begg's or the Strand Theatre. Last week the theatre was packed, so that it is advisable to be early. The proceeds will be for the Mayor's Relief Fund.
