INJURED CONSTABLE
ACTION AGAINST CAR OWNER CASE REFERRED TO APPEAL COURT. X » (Peb United Pkess Association) AUCKLAND, July 23. In view of the novel points raised and the wide public importance of the action in which Constable Ernest Stewart, ol Auckland, sought to recover damages for injuries received while trying to arrest a motor car thief, Mr Justice Fair has decided to refer the case to the Court of Appeal. Stewart’s claim is against Mr E. G. Bridgene, manufacturer, the owner of the stolen car.
