COMMUNITY SINGING
The weekly community “ sing ” will be held at mid-day on Friday at 12.15 in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Messrs Fuller-Hay ward). Last week the theatre was packed to the doors. This week Miss Tui Salt will be the singer, and one of her numbers will bo Silver Hair and Heart of Gold.” The leader, Mr H. P. Desmoulins, has arranged another good programme and will introduce several new numbers. At last Friday’s “ sing ” “ Roll Along Covered Wagon ” was introduced, and will again be on the programme. Mr Alf. Pettitt will be at the piano. Mrs MTntyrc, who is in charge of the stall, will be pleased to receive goods, which always find a ready sale. Donations, no matter how email, can be sent to Begtr’s or to the Strand. The proceeds wifi be for the Mayor’s Relief Fund.
