MOUNT CARGILL MAIN HIGHWAY
TO THE EDITOR Sik, —I do not know why “Live and 1 Let Live” and “Observer” did noV sign their names to their letters on the subject of the employment of local labour on the Mount Cargill highway, an they had nothing to be ashamed of in having stated only plain and true facts concerning the case under discussion. As I have locally been given the credit, that is due to theSo two anonymous correspondents, I would like you to assure those interested that they are giving credit where credit is not due, although I am strongly of the opinion that the situation re.quires immediate attention, and am sure there are many capable able-bodied men at present on sustenance who would make the most of such opportunity as has been given the man around whom this discussion centres." I take this opportunity of supporting “ Observer’s ” view that men with growing children should receive preference to those without dependents.—! ■ am, etc., A. E. Hakdjian. Mount Cargill, July 22. f
