ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
A CHILD DROWNED FALLS INTO STREAM. (Per United Press Association) HASTINGS, July 22. A two-years-and-nine-months’ old boy, Geoffrey Clifford Rasmussen, was drowned while playing with another little boy at Ongaonga this morning. The father of the dead boy is Clifford Rasmussen, a farm labourer. The two boys were playing near a creek in the township, and both of them fell into the water from a plank bridge on which they had walkfed. The other boy managed to get out of the ■water, and informed hie mother, and as a result the body of Geoffrey Rasmussen was found 15 minutes later.
