HUGE HOUSING SCHEME MILLIONS INVOLVED (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 20. The Leeds City Council has in hand a vast scheme for re-housing city dwellers. Work will shortly begin on the construction of a big' block of 940 flats, to be completed in 20 months. This represents only a small part of the whole scheme, which, at a cost of £14,500,000, aims at re-housing 30.000 families within six years and a-half. In connection with the present undertaking, the system of construction adopted in Paris is being introduced, concrete blocks made on the eite being used throughout.
