FINAL JUBILEE REVIEW

PARADE OF POLICEMEN AN IMPRESSIVE SPECTACLE (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, July 20. (Received July 21, at 6.30 p.m.) For the final jubilee review 10,000 policemen from all parts of Britain were drawn up in Hyde Park in two lines, 1 tianked by mounted police and mechanised squads. The review was unique as the King had not previously inspected the police. Despite showers, their Majesties drove in an open landau along the blue-coated line, among which were plain clothes Scotland Yard police,

headed by top-hatted and morningcoated chiefs, who received their Majesties with a royal 6alute, standing to attention while the band played the National Anthem. Sir Hugh Trenchard led three cheers for the King, after which their Majesties drove along the line and received a great ovation from 250,000 spectators. The weather misbehaved for the first time in the jubilee celebrations when a shower accompanying the march past forced their Majesties to retire to shelter in the royal pavilion. The pipers played the Scottish police past. Only Ulster was not represented, the riots there necessitating all remaining on duty.
