WRECKED DUTCH PLANE THE PASSENGERS RESCUED BAGDAD, July 19. Parmentier picked up the passengers of the smashed plane after a record flight. He hopes to reach Amsterdam to-morrow, covering 7000 miles in three days and a-half. A previous message stated that a Dutch mail plane crashed when taking off for Bagdad and was completely burnt, the mails being destroyed. Seven passengers and the crew escaped with only slight injuries. COLLISION IN MID-AIR ONE PILOT KILLED MELBOURNE, July 20. (Received July 21, at 6.30 p.m.) One pilot, Harry Zaeker, was killed and the other, Theo Allen, miraculously glided to safety when two Aero Club's Moths collided in mid-air at the turning point over Maribyrnong during a race on Saturday. The propeller of the machine which landed safely sliced off the tail and part of the fuselage of other, causing it to drop like a stone.
