OTAGO CLUB The final of the Otago Club's knockout competition was played on the Balmaeewen links on Saturday afternoon between J. M. Sidey and C. P. Howden. Howden, who had to concede five strokes on-the round, started off confidently and gained an early lead, being 3 up after the first four holes., Sidey was not putting well at the start, but later his play improved and the game finished on the sixteenth green with Sidey the winner by 3 and 2. BELLEKNOWES CLUB The stroke handicap played by the Belleknowes Golf Club under perfect conditions on Saturday afternoon resulted aa follows: —
The final of the ladies' knockout competition for the Strang Cup between Mitt Kingston and Miss Jefferson resulted in ft win for the former by 4 and 2.
