The weather on Saturday was fine and pleasant, the min shining from a clear sky. There was an absence of wind* and the maximum temperature was 55 degrees. Yesterday was bright and sunny all day although there was a slightly chilly northeast breeze in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 50 degrees. REPORTS THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, July 21. I Wintry weather and a light southerly wind prevailed during the week-end. Yesterday was fine but cold, and rain commenced falling in the evening, and continued during the night. To-day was very cold and raw and wet. There was very little movement of the barometer, which has been practically steady at 30.05 inches since mid-day yesterday. WELLINGTON, July 21. A fresh southerly wind blew throughout the day yesterday, accompanied by occasional light showers, but for the most part the weather was cold and fine. This morning the southerly had become light and the weather was fine and. fairly sunny. There was a trace of ram at 1 p.m., however, and the afternoon was cloudy.
