SUNDAY SERVICES

The Rev. D. C. Herron will conduct both services in Knox Church. The subject for the evening will be “ The hour when a man requires to meet his past.” At First Church the Rev. W. Alien Stevely will preach in the morning on “ Walking by Faith,” and in the evening, “ The Second Coming.” Dr Galway will be at the organ, and the choir will render the qnthem, “Hear My Prayer” (Mendelssohn). , , , ~ The Rev C. H. Olds wall conduct both services at Trinity Methodist Church tomorrow. In the morning be will speak on “ The Sacrifice of Isaac ” and in the evening on “Recruiting.” The evening anthem will be “ Evening and Morning,” and Mrs A. Chisholm will sing “ Consider the Lilies.” The Rev. T. Keith Ewen will preach at the Hanover Street Baptist Church, his subjects being “ The Life With Buoyant Possibilities ” in the morning, and “ Ecce Homo ” in the evening. The services will be conducted at the Moray Place Congregational Church by the Rev. Albert Mead. In the morning he will speak on “The Message of Jonah.” and the evening subject will be “The Church and the Gospel.” Mrs Frank Benton will sing “ 0 Love Divine ” (Handel). The Sunday school winter party will be held on Saturday next at 5.30 p.m. The St. Kilda Band will parade from George street north to-morrow evening and present a special musical service at the United Congregational Church. The Rev. C. G. Hedley Bycroft will speak on “ Praise Chances Things,” his morning topic being “Answered Prayer." The Christadelphian Society will conduct services as usual in Unity Chambers, Stuart street. At the evening service Mr King, of Timaru, will deliver an illustrated lecture, particulars of which are advertised.

At the evening service of the Cargill Road Methodist Church a tribute of remembrance will be raid to the late Mr J. B. Shaddock. The preacher will bo the Rev. G. E. Biwn. who will be assisted by Mr D. C. Cameron. Mr A. W. Stables will speak on “What Spiritualism Xmplies ” at the Spiritualist Church to-morrow evening, and Mrs Brooks will follou- with spiritual clairvoyance. There will be an open session at the Lyceum, and the Healing Centre will meet on Thursday evening.

At the Theosophical Society to-morrow there will be a presentation of the “ Ceremony of Light.”
